About Us

Connected 2 Country Allied Health was founded in 2024 by director and physiotherapist Brendan Jones in response to the growing need for high-quality, culturally appropriate supports for Indigenous communities in very remote Queensland. Our mission is to bridge the gap in allied health services, ensuring that NDIS participants in these regions receive the care they need in ways that respect and honour their culture.

At Connected 2 Country, we are committed to delivering high-quality allied health services that empower individuals with disabilities to achieve their goals and enhance their quality of life. We proudly serve some of Queensland’s most unique and remote communities, ensuring that NDIS participants receive the support they need, no matter where they are.

Our experienced team provides Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech Pathology services to self-managed and plan-managed NDIS participants of all ages. We work closely with individuals and their families in the communities of Kowanyama, Pormpuraaw, Aurukun, Weipa, Northern Peninsula Area (NPA), Mt Isa, Normanton, Doomadgee, and the Torres Strait Islands.

At the heart of our approach is a Connected to Country model of care. We engage with participants in culturally meaningful ways, incorporating on-country activities, home visits, and support in community spaces to ensure that therapy is both effective and respectful of local traditions. By prioritising cultural connection, we create safe and supportive environments where individuals feel understood and empowered.

Beyond therapy, our team also provides assistance with NDIS access requests, assessments, and submissions for early intervention and NDIS pathways, helping individuals and families navigate the system with confidence.
